Subculture
- Wicca can be considered a subculture. Subcultures typical include distinctive language and clothing and behavior. It is considered a subculture because they dress a certain way like more dark. They also have different morals and behevior while thinking rituals can solve things.
- Wiccan culture may be considered as counter-culture as our
cultural norm believes that witch symbolizes disasters, curse or bad luck;
people’s impression on witch, most of the time, tend to be negative. - However, one of wiccans’ primary believes is "If it does no harm, do your own will." Wiccans believe that witches should not harm other people with their magic, or it “will come back to them threefold”, as magic is intended for personal change only.
Why Wicca?
Wicca represents a religious expression inspired by the pre christian ethnic and tribal religions. It is very interesting because they have many beliefs different than how we look at life. Wicca accepts the idea of reincarnation and sees the natural world as manifestation of divine forces rather than something created by god. Wicca has no central organization and authority but it contains groups called covenants The Wicca religion is growing faster and faster which makes us want to learn more about the religion.
